Members battling for the Club Championship title

Membership FAQs

How does membership work and how do I enrol?

We offer membership via convenient monthly subscriptions, with an minimum initial period of 12 months. Administration is via the Clubspark system, whilst payment is taken via Go Cardless. Please enrol via the following link

How do I book courts?

Once you have an active membership, you can book conveniently, 24 hours per day, via our online booking system.

Do you have a clubhouse or reception?

We do have a clubhouse, part of which is open at all times, thus allowing access into the toilets and changing rooms. The main club room is also open for regular member events, such as the weekly Wednesday night mix-in, as well as inter-club team matches and social events. Our reception is generally only open at peak times, normally to coincide with the junior coaching programme.

How do I speak to a member of staff?

Please email play@totton.tennis or call 0238 155 0 122.

How do I access the tennis courts?

If you have a valid membership, you will also receive a pin number for accessing the courts. This number will be active any time that you have made a booking.

Are floodlights included in my membership package?

Yes, floodlights will switch on automatically according to online bookings.

How do I access the toilets and changing rooms?

Members have keypad access to the toilets and changing rooms, with the pin number changed regularly and communicated to members via email.

How can I play more tennis and get the best value from my membership?

There are a variety of organised activities included for free within your membership, including weekly mix-ins (Monday 13:30-15:30 and Wednesday 19-21:00), internal box leagues, external inter-club team leagues and our annual club championship. Please contact us for further information.

How does it work with guests?

All activities at the Totton & Eling Tennis Centre are open to pay-and-play customers. An additional benefit of club membership is that the pay-and-play fee is reduced when playing with a member. The guest fee is therefore £4 per court per hour, which is paid by the member via bank transfer.

Do you offer a tennis racquet restringing service?

Yes we do. With decades of experience in stringing racquets, we can recommend the most suitable string bed for your kind of play. Guideline prices are £25-30 for a full restring. You can drop your racquet off whenever the reception is open (generally during termtime, Monday-Friday 15:30-18:00, as well as Saturdays 09:00-13:00), or alternatively contact us to arrange an alternative drop-off time (e.g. whilst adult coaching groups are running on Tuesdays and Thursdays 19-21:00). The turnaround for a restring is around 48 hours.

Do you sell tennis racquets and balls?

Yes, we are pleased to stock a variety of balls, accessories and junior racquets (sizes 19 to 26 inches). We also offer a demonstrator service for full-size racquets in partnership with All Things Tennis, with an extra discount available to our customers. Racquets can be tested at the centre and then purchased online, with delivery directly to the customer’s home.
