Playing tennis and hiring a court

Our 8 floodlit tennis courts are open for pay-and-play court hirers and membership subscribers. With online court booking and automated gate access via pin number, we offer a modern and convenient solution. The courts are open each day from 07:30-22:00. Pay-and-play courts cost £10 per hour and can be booked up to 72 hours in advance. Please note that the building is not always staffed and therefore it is generally not possible to lend equipment.

Coaching

Junior coaching groups are available for children and young people aged 4-17, with sessions available after-school and on Saturdays. We can generally find more than one option for every child / experience level. 

We also have a variety of adult group coaching sessions, with options available from beginner level, through to improvers and advanced. We specialise in introducing beginners to the sport with many staying within the coaching programme for years, eventually becoming members and ultimately making lifelong friends.

All new participants are welcome to attend a free short assessment session with a coach, followed by a free trial of a suitable group.

We are always happy to lend participants racquets.

Membership

For regular social and competitive play, a monthly subscription offers great value. It includes unlimited court usage when playing with other members, 14-day booking priority, weekly mix-in, singles & doubles box leagues, inter-club teams and proportional pay-and-play discount.

School Holidays

During the school holidays we offer a variety of activities, including matchplay competitions, tennis clinics and fun days for children and young people aged 6 to 17. Sessions are generally aimed at children already attending our coaching groups, as supplemental activity to enhance their year-round programme. From time-to-time though, we do offer taster sessions for new participants, and of course children are welcome to join our termtime coaching programme at any time. Each school holiday is slightly different, so please read on for more information.

Further information about the centre

The Totton & Eling Tennis Centre was first built in 2004 and the facility is managed by a small family team in partnership with Totton & Eling Town Council. The team ensures that the facility is maintained to the highest standards, and prides itself on offering great customer service. The centre is located at Hanger Farm, close to both Southampton and the New Forest. There is a lovely clubhouse and patio overlooking the courts. For a whole day out, there is even a playing field, playground and paddling pool on site. The courts are open 7 days-per-week, all-year-round, and there is lots of parking available.
